Luca Premium Artist Stretched Canvas - 1.5 inch (38mm) Thick Stretchers & Braces 10Oz

for the most part these are about the best canvases i have bought but it doesn't seem to matter how much you spend on canvases there is always little things but perhaps i am the only that notices examples:

1. gesso application is not the greatest with bumps of gesso of the front . you can't really sand of the bits that have dried.i have tried by the way.
2. a common thing ive noticed is on some of pre made canvases is hairline crack on the stretchers themselves which these do have.
3. back stapling is a bit off on some of them.in the corners mainly.

over all though they are good quality canvases and i wouldn't hesitate order them again. i guess i just expect when paying a premium for premade canvases these little details would be better quality controlled.

Luca brand is great value for money- I've never had an issue with the stretcher frames and am really pleased with the canvas. Highly recommend. I've bought more than I can count over the years - it's one of my 'go to' brands.

Thank you for the VERY efficient delivery. I think my eyebrows rose to my hairline when they turned up a day later! It will be a while before I get to use one of the Luca canvases as I have several gesso’d to use before them and my paintings take weeks to do!! The Luca canvases look excellent quality and I am excited to use them soon. They are well made, the structure looks strong and straight and the surface seems excellent. Also I noticed that they are made in Indonesia, a refreshing change from other places of manufacture which pleases me enormously!
