Description
Works well with traditional lino tools. Easy-To-Cut Linoleum cuts beautifully and without effort whether mounted or unmounted on a wood block, leaving smooth clean edges. Works well on designs with curves and tight corners.
Produces finely detailed, sharp, clear prints. Easy to carve. Its shelf life can be 10 times longer than traditional linoleum.
A design can be cut into the lino surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the raised(uncarved) areas representing a reversal(mirror image) of the parts to show printed. The carved lino sheet design is then inked with a roller (also called a brayer), and then transferred onto paper or fabric. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a press.
