Description
The Sennelier oil pastels were developed during 1949 in collaboration with Pablo Picasso who wanted a medium that could be used on a wide variety of surfaces without fading or cracking. The pastels have an exceptionally high pigment load which provides high colouring and coverage with exceptional brightness. They are very creamy and supple in use and are able to be blended and layered with ease.
The pastels are made with top quality pigments, a non-drying synthetic binder and mineral wax. All of the pastels are lightfast, with the exception of the the metallic and fluroscent shades.
The Sennelier Oil Pastel range includes 110 classic colours and 10 iridescent colours. Individual sticks are paper wrapped, and measure 2-5/8" x 3/8".
