Create the ideal surface for your artwork with a professionally made custom canvas from Art Supplies Australia.
Each canvas is made to your selected dimensions using quality timber stretcher bars and your preferred canvas material. From standard formats to extra large canvases, we can produce a canvas suited to professional artists, studios, galleries, exhibitions and large scale artwork.
Larger canvases are reinforced with additional support bars to provide strength, stability and dependable support.
How to Order
Enter your required dimensions in inches using the following format:
Width × Height
For example, a canvas measuring 48 inches wide and 72 inches high should be entered as:
48 × 72 inches
Please select your preferred canvas material, stretcher bar profile and any available finishing options before adding the canvas to your cart.
Timber Construction
Our custom canvases are constructed using quality New Zealand pine and American poplar, also known as Liriodendron.
The number and position of support bars will depend on the overall canvas dimensions. Larger canvases will receive additional reinforcement where required.

All profiles use standard fixed corner strainer construction.
Shipping and Pickup
A separate shipping quote will be emailed to you after your order is placed. Delivery costs are calculated according to the completed canvas size, quantity and delivery destination.
For safe freight transport, shipped orders require a minimum of two canvases of the same or similar size.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make extra large canvases?
Yes. We specialise in custom canvases ranging from standard artist sizes to very large formats. Larger canvases are reinforced with additional support bars where required.
How should I enter my measurements?
Enter the width first, followed by the height. All custom canvas dimensions must be entered in inches.
For example:
48 × 72 inches
Are the stretcher bar measurements also in inches?
No. Your canvas width and height are entered in inches. The stretcher bar profile measurements are shown in millimetres.
Is shipping included in the displayed price?
No. A separate shipping quote will be emailed after your order is placed because delivery costs depend on the completed canvas size, quantity and destination.
Can I collect my custom canvas?
Yes. Free pickup is available from our Hornsby warehouse during opening hours.
Why do shipped orders require two canvases?
Two canvases of the same or similar size can be packed together more securely, helping reduce the risk of damage during freight transport.
