Complete your artwork with a professionally made custom floater frame from Art Supplies Australia.
A floater frame creates a narrow shadow gap between the artwork and the surrounding frame, giving your canvas the appearance of floating inside the frame. This contemporary presentation adds depth and definition without covering the edges of your artwork.
Each frame is made according to the outside dimensions of your existing stretched canvas. Custom floater frames are available for standard formats, extra large canvases, professional artwork, exhibitions, galleries and studio presentations.
How to Measure Your Canvas
Please measure the maximum outside dimensions of your existing stretched canvas.
Enter your measurements in centimetres in the following order:
Width × Height × Depth
Width
Measure from the outside left edge to the outside right edge. Check the measurement at both the top and bottom of the canvas and use the largest measurement.
Height
Measure from the outside top edge to the outside bottom edge. Check the measurement on both sides of the canvas and use the largest measurement.
Depth
Measure the complete thickness of the stretched canvas from the front surface to the back edge.
Include any raised canvas folds or thicker areas when taking your measurements.
For example:
120 × 180 × 4 cm
Do not add an allowance for the floating gap. We will calculate the required frame size from the canvas measurements you provide.
