Quality W & N paints

After reading a lot of artists reviews, I decided that the W & N Cotman watercolours would be a good place to start for a beginner - until I work out how addicted I am as a watercolour artist - now that I am retired and have time. Good range of colours that mix well so you can get the primary colours and a few favourites to get started. I already have a set of 12 cotman pans (bought 23 years ago when I first briefly dabbled in watercolours) and they are still great. This time I took advantage of Christmas sales to add some tubes (20 x 5ml) of Cotman colours to my collection. I plan to squeeze them into the Marie's paint box with 30 + wells and 5 good sized mixing spaces and use this set up for my home-based work. Letting my tube paints dry in wells is more economical as I can treat them like pans and just re-wet the paints for my next session. Great fast service, even though the shop had a well-deserved holiday break. I'll definitely return for top up supplies.

Great value purchase

Have not used my new Windsor and Newton Cotman water colour set yet, but already have a set of 12 which I love, so am sure these will be wonderful with all the additional available colours. Delivery time and tracking was great. Will do up a legend sheet to go in the top of the case showing each of the colours, so they are easily identified before use.

Tad disappointed

Delivery was great however I received 3 duplicate colours in my set. There was no colour list as well :(
