This medium is based on a homemade solution Gamblin recommended for years to artists asking about oiling out, artists seeking a lean and thin painting medium for creating thin washes and underpainting, and also to artists looking to prepare their wood panels.
3-in-1 is a mixture of Gamsol, Safflower Oil and the same soybean alkyd resin in Gamblin’s Galkyd mediums.
With this new medium, Gamblin refined the formula and dry time to help make it easy and reliable for artists versus mixing their own.
