Description

To paint solvent-free, use Gamblin Safflower Oil to clean brushes while you are working. After your painting session, brushes can be further cleaned using Gamsol and/or soap and water. Safflower Oil is a pale, slow-drying oil. When used as a painting medium, Safflower Oil increases flow and slows dry times. Use sparingly or mix with an equal amount Gamsol to create a traditional slow-drying, low-viscosity painting medium.

Please download the Gamblin Oil Medium Guide to roughly know about all range of Gamblin Oil Mediums.

Saffolwer Oil

I was informed by a leading landscape artist who worked for Winsor & Newton paints and he informed that Winsor & Newton use Safflower oil in their paints which is the best oil to mix with my paint when a little hard. He himself baught a lot of Winsor & Newton Artist Oils from America & found a problem with The Yellow Ochre. There is quiet a bit of the Yellow Ochre that the mix some how went wrong for sme reason. I have found that by adding the Safflower oil soften it. Art Suppies Australia replaced the first tube of Yellow Ochre with a new tube but the second tube was the same. I was told by them about the product falt which i found out being low in oil. So i got the Safflower oil & fixed the proble.
