Description
This Leather Dabber is a useful tool for printmakers and etchers. It is primarily used to push ink into areas of a printing plate, helping artists apply grounds or ink onto intaglio plates evenly for etching applications.
When using a tapping action, the Leather Dabber pushes and transfers ink onto your plates when printmaking and etching. It measures 80mm in diameter and is made from soft, double suede deer hide pulled over layers of etching felt, attached to a wooden base with a comfortable handle.
The leather dabber is most suitable for ink intaglio plates, allowing engravers to fill engraved lines with ink by tapping the dabber on the copper plate.
