Our Tarlatan fabric, available in Coarse and Fine options, is a traditional starched cotton with an open weave, designed specifically for ink retention and precision work.

Tarlatan Coarse

  • Use: Ideal for wiping back inked-up plates in printmaking, the coarse weave allows for maximum ink retention while maintaining the stiffness required for precise cleaning and detail.

Tarlatan Fine

  • Use: Perfect for delicate tasks in printmaking and other artistic projects. The fine version offers a softer feel while still effectively trapping ink due to its open weave structure.
